Gladinet Announces Amazon AWS Marketplace Packages for Private Cloud Storage
Sync and share services based on public cloud storage continue to increase in popularity. However, many enterprises struggle with the loss of control over their data. According to Jerry Huang, Gladinet’s CEO, “Gladinet now provides AMI packages through Amazon's AWS Marketplace so our customers can deploy our solution in a virtual private cloud. Our customers are interested in the security and control of on-premise sync and share, but they may not have the resources to deploy and manage an on-premise solution. Now, they can quickly deploy a private solution that is hosted by Amazon but remains under their control."
With this new offering, smaller companies can AWS secure file sharing services to their employees, but maintain the security and control of more traditional IT deployments. Huang summarizes, “Gladinet Cloud Enterprise has three architectural components. They are the clients, orchestration layer and cloud storage. Unlike other access solution providers, we give our customers the flexibility to use any cloud storage service, or their own network storage (SAN, NAS, etc…) and choose where the access infrastructure will reside. That access infrastructure can be deployed on-premise, by a service provider, or it can be hosted by Gladinet. And with the addition of our AWS packages, the solution can be hosted in Amazon EC2 and controlled by the customer.”
The Gladinet AWS sync and share packages come with a free trial and start at $0.60 per hour for the Service Provider Edition and $0.12 per hour for the Enterprise Edition.
