Failed to map drive: Check if WebClient Service is running and try again. |
WebClient service is a standard Windows service. It is required to mount a network drive.
The error means the WebClient service is not running. You can check WebClient status in Control Panel. Go to 'Control Panel',
'Performance and Maintenance' (XP) or 'System and Maintenance' (Vista), 'Administrative Tools'. Open Services here.
In the Windows services list, look for 'WebClient'. Make sure its status is 'Started'. If not, please try to shut down the WebClient service and restart it. Once WebClient service is up, wait for couple of minutes. Then start Gladinet.
Please notice that in Windows Server 2008, 'WebClient' service is not installed by default. Please install 'Desktop Experience', which includes the service. |
